The collection contains letters, addresses, bill and receipts, printed material, and depositions relating to the 1768 Parliamentary elections in Middlesex and the mob violence at Brentford. The letters include routine patronage correspondence as well as items more specifically concerned with the Middlesex election riots, including descriptions of the hiring of gangs by both sides; informants' reports on "Wilkite" plots; and a proposal by Beauchamp-Proctor to John Glynn that they issue a joint declaration against mob violence.
Other documents include depositions concerning the riots; copies of addresses to the electors; detailed bills from Beauchamp-Proctor's agents for entertainments in taverns and inns, ribbons and favors, and transportation expenses; and two printed broadsides for Proctor's side.

Eleanor Taft Tilton, daughter of Dr. Charles and Martha Jarvis Taft, was born in Hartford, Connecticut, on 1 January 1901. She attended Vassar and Barnard Colleges, but did not earn a degree. She married Arthur vcan Riper Tilton; he was employed by the Hartford Fire Insurance Company for many years. Mrs. Tilton died on 26 March 1984.

The Leviticus Lyon papers document the professional and personal activities of the tenor singer, music conductor and choral director. Letters, writings, illustrations and photographs are included in this collection. Correspondence details the life of Leviticus Lyon from childhood to adulthood with personal letters from parents, siblings, and friends including the originally titled "world's fastest human," African American Olympic track star Howard P. Drew. Other correspondence includes letters from blues legend W.C. Handy and prominent Harlem lawyer Hubert T. Delany. The Professional Papers series illustrates Lyon's efforts in establishing the Negro Symphony Orchestra, his participation in the Annual Harlem Music Week, and his work as choral director in the Westchester Negro Choral Union. Personal papers include poems, illustrations, and other writings by Lyon.

These letters include discussions of the Russian political climate (1900-1919) and focus on Ivan Petrunkevitch's work with the Constitutional Democratic (Kadety) Party. Other correspondents include officials of Russian-American societies. The papers also encompass Alexander Petrunkevitch's writings on the Russian Revolution, his poetry, journals, photographs, and other personal memorabilia.

Material documents the development of the Christian missionary movement among students in the United States and Europe, 1886-1938. Family correspondence documents the missionary work of Wilder's parents in India, 1846-1875, as well as his work in India, 1893-1902. Robert Parmelee Wilder was born in India of missionary parents in 1863. He earned the A.B. and A.M. degrees from Princeton University (1886, 1888) and the B.D. degree from UnionTheological Seminary (1891). He was a founder of the Student Volunteer Movement (1886), missionary in India (1893-1902), traveling secretary for Student Christian Movements in Europe (1903-1916), secretary of Religious Work Department, YMCA (1916-1919), General Secretary of the Student Volunteer Movement (1919-1927) and Executive Secretary of the Near East Christian Council (1927-1933). He died on March 27, 1938.
