Collections

Correspondence, papers relating to World War I and the Paris Peace Conference, and personal memorabilia of Vance C. McCormick, statesman and politician. These papers relate largely to McCormick's participation in the London Inter-Allied Conference (the "House Mission") and the American Commission to Negotiate Peace in Paris. They were formerly a part of the House Collection.

The collection consists of miscellaneous memorabilia of Vance R. Dittman, Jr. (Yale 1924). Also included are creative works by Catherine Pierson Dittman (wife of Vance Dittman), who studied painting at Yale, and Dean B. Lyman.

This collection details experience of Venessa A. Marshall as a military nurse during Vietnam War period. The collection contains video of an oral history interview, personal papers such as diploma and certificate, and photographs.

The collection comprises correspondence from the artistic partners, Duncan Grant and Vanessa Bell, to the art historian Kenneth Clark and his wife, Elizabeth "Jane" (née Martin).

A collection of autograph letters and facsimiles of which the largest number are letters to and from Daniel Webster. Also in the collection is a volume of drafts of letters, pamphlets, and speeches composed by Stephen Devalson Dillaye between 1864-1868 on current political issues. Dillaye was a Democrat who opposed radical abolitionism, but sided with the North in the Civil War.

The Vardis Fisher papers document the personal and professional life of prolific Western novelist and author Vardis Fisher.

The collection includes autograph and typescript descriptions of comedy, musical, dancing, acrobatic and other stage acts from individual, duo, and group performers and creators, submitted to Variety magazine's Protected Material Department between 1916 and 1925.

Collection consists of slides of paintings, sculpture, and architecture by various artists, American and European, from ca. 1400-2000.

Collection consists of mounted black and white and color reproductions of paintings by artists from various countries. Content varies from original photographic prints to reproductions from magazines and other published sources. Some sections have accompanying clippings folders.

A collection of thirteen documents in Russian and other Cyrillic languages, ranging in date from 1886 to 1914. The documents include birth and school certificates, court documents, wedding invitations, deeds of purchase for serfs, and deeds of property.
