This collection details Charles Kilgore’s trainings and command experiences during his enlistment in World War II and the Korean War as well as the years following. A taped interview was conducted on February 13, 2004 at Charles’s home by Eileen Hurst. Along with his taped interview the collection contains a reproduction of the scanned interview synopsis detailing the interview. The materials, which primarily focus on 1940 through 1950, provide evidence of American military leadership training and company responsibilities, combat preparation, and military efforts in light of supply shortages.
