The John Gould Fletcher collection contains material by, about, and relating to American poet John Gould Fletcher.

The papers consist of nine volumes, six of which contain records of claims for pensions made by Civil War veterans from Connecticut. The remaining volumes contain accounts related to John Graves Chapman's insurance business, a letterbook (ca. 1866-1879), and a collection of mounted postmarks.

John Gray & Co. appears to have operated a general store and cotton factory in Lisbon, Connecticut. The records consist of account books, a cashbook, daybooks, ledgers, letter books, check stubs, and time books.

Congressional records of John G. Rowland. Rowland served as a member of the United States House of Representatives from 1985 to 1991 from Connecticut's fifth district. Records include constituent correspondence from 1985 to 1990, campaign and congressional newsletters, press releases, and legislative profiles.

The John Guare Papers document the work and life of the playwright and educator John Guare. The papers consist of production files, professional correspondence, writings, writings of others, subject files, personal effects, personal papers, photographs, printed material, and one reel-to-reel sound recording. The bulk of the material spans the years 1962-2010.

Correspondence, writings, photographs and printed materials of John Hall Paxton, American foreign service officer. The papers reflect primarily Paxton's service in China from 1925 to 1949, broken only by a year in Teheran in 1943. He made a dramatic escape from China (1949) and returned to the United States. He broadcast for the Voice of America, and returned as Consul to Isfahan, Iran in 1951, where he died in 1953. His papers include reports on Chinese economic and political conditions, memoranda on Nanking and the Nationalist takeover in 1927; an account of the U.S.S. Panay incident in 1937, to which he was an eyewitness; a record of his internment in Nanking by the Japanese in 1942, and articles and letters on his escape from China in 1949. An unpublished manuscript, Consul to Sinkiang, is among the papers, as are extensive collections of photographs of China and Iran. Correspondents include Everett Drumright, Margaret Mackiernan, wife of Douglass Mackiernan, and Willys Peck.

The John Hall Sage papers contain the administrative and financial records, books, clippings, correspondence, and manuscripts of John Hall Sage. The collection also includes the papers of the American Ornithologists' Union, an organization of which John Hall Sage was a member, serving as both President and Secretary. The collection focuses mostly on John Hall Sage's lifelong interest in ornithology.

The John Hart Ely papers consists of teaching files, research papers, drafts of articles, legal briefs, professional and personal correspondence, and video tapes documenting Ely's legal and teaching career. The bulk of the collection contains accumulated notes and research materials pertaining to Ely's writings on constitutional law from 1968 to 2003.
