Correspondence, diary and memorabilia. Most of the correspondence relates to Cofrances' efforts in 1926 to win a scholarship offered by the Italy America Society. Also in the correspondence are two notes from Rudy Vallée. His army service in San Francisco (1942-1945) is documented by a diary and memorabilia.

The collection comprises pamphlets, newsletters, and other materials collected by Harry W. Selden and concerning conservative and right-wing politics and activism from the 1950s to the 1980s. Materials include newsletters, pamphlets, mass mailings, flyers, press clippings and photocopies, correspondence, and other printed and published materials. The material covers a wide range of topics, including the United Nations, disarmament, anti-communism, and Republican and conservative politics, and represents a large number of right-wing organizations. The collection also includes pamphlets and flyers for political candidates, primarily Republicans, along with a small number of newsletters and pamphlets from left-wing organizations. Some materials have handwritten notes and underlining by an unidentified author, possibly Selden. The collection also includes a partial inventory, possibly prepared in the 2010s.

Hart Crane Collection consists of correspondence to, from, and about Crane, copies of Crane's poetry and prose, articles about Crane, and material on Crane's work in art and advertising.

Principally the papers of the related Hart and Norton families of Connecticut, descendants of Hawkins Hart. Included are correspondence, legal papers, chiefly concerning the transfer of property in Wallingford, Barkhamsted, Farmington and Berlin, and writings on religious topics. The correspondence consists of letters of the Norton family of Berlin, Connecticut written mostly between 1835 and 1846 to their son, William H. Norton, who was living in Troy, New York and then in Georgia. The letters discuss slavery, religion, family finances, and also describe the death of a daughter of the family in 1839. Also mentioned in the papers are the Hooker, Cowles and Brownson families.

The collection consists of the records of the Hartford Art School, as well as material about the school and its history.

The Hartford Audubon Society records document the activities of the Hartford Audubon Society (HAS), formerly known as the Hartford Bird Study Club. The records are a mix of physical materials, held at the Wood Memorial Library in South Windsor, and digital materials held in cloud storage by HAS.

The Hartford City Guard was an Independent Company from January 8 to September 11, 1861. It then became Artillery Company A, 1st Regiment, Connecticut Militia, organizing under the captaincy of Charles H. Prentice. In 1863 it became an infantry company. Some Hartford City Guard officers joined the volunteer forces in the Civil War. The company was designated Company A, 4th Regiment, Connecticut Volunteers on May 16, 1861. Afterwards, it changed to First Connecticut Heavy Artillery, which was mustered into the U.S. service on May 22, 1861. On August 18, 1865, it became Battery D, Light Artillery, Connecticut National Guard, attached to the 1st Regiment. It was then attached to the 3rd Regiment from August 8 1867 to August 1, 1871. In 1871, it became Company F of the 1st Regiment, and it remains so today.
