The papers consist of personal and professional files which document Ernestine Wiedenbach's childhood, student days at Wellesley College, and career as a faculty member in the Yale University School of Nursing, where she directed the nurse-midwifery educational program. The papers include correspondence, dating from her retirement in 1966 and writings relating to her professional career. Also present are diaries spanning almost her entire life, excluding the years she spent on the Yale faculty.

The Technical Equipment Company (TEC) had its general headquarters in New York City and a manufacturing plant in Niantic, Connecticut, by 1913. In the spring of 1913, TEC took over the gauge department of Utica Steam Gauge Company and the Libby Valve and Packing Company. By 1914, the company had become the New England Steam Gauge Company and had its base in Niantic.

The Vachel Lindsay collection contains original correspondence and manuscripts by early twentieth-century American poet Vachel Lindsay. The collection features letters from Lindsay to poet Sara Teasdale, dating from 1913 to 1931, documenting their early courtship and ongoing friendship. Writings appear to have been sent to Teasdale as enclosures to the letters. There are also letters to Teasdale from Lindsay's widow, Elizabeth Connor Lindsay, following his death in late 1931.
