The collection documents the Yale School of Nursing deans, faculty, students/alumni, and programs. The collection consists of photographs, newspaper clippings, reports, minor publications, meeting minutes, presentations and research reports on nursing, audiovisual materials, and correspondence compiled by the Yale School of Nursing, the School of Nursing Alumnae/i Association, and individual faculty and staff. Major events in the school's history, deans, and faculty are particularly well documented. Students, particularly early ones, are documented in the photographs, scrapbooks, data cards, and Alumnae/i Association files.

The Connecticut Commission on Culture and Tourism's State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO) and the Office of Connecticut State Archaeology are the lead agencies for the preservation of the state's archaeological and architectural historic heritage. This guide provides references to documentary, architectural and archaeological survey reports conducted in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations regarding cultural resource protection, provided by SHPO, and is intended to provide researchers with an overview of the available literature and completed surveys. The surveys are organized by the 169 Connecticut towns, as well as sections for Statewide, Regional or Thematic surveys, and thereunder within four catagories of types of surveys -- Historical and Architectural, Archaeological, Documentation Studies, and Maps. Other materials include books, CDs, posters, and pamphlets.

The collection consists of a series of tracings by John Linnell of 99 of the 102 drawings made by William Blake to illustrate Dante's Divina Commedia.

The papers consist of correspondence, memoranda, writings, speeches, photographs and other material that document the career of the diplomat, author and foreign policy expert and scholar Henry A. Kissinger, who served as United States secretary of state from 1973 to 1977 and as assistant to the president for national security affairs (national security advisor) from 1969 to 1975.

The collection contains letters and writings by or about Caroline Sheridan Norton. The letters are to recipients such as Robert Browning, Henry Cholmondeley-Pennell, Mrs. Catherine Gore, Nathaniel Ogle, Lady Anna Stirling Maxwell, and Frances Trollope, as well as a letter to William Francis Cowper-Temple concerning the death of his uncle, Lord Melbourne. Writings include several autograph poems, and the autograph manuscript of "Love in the World," a novel written when Norton was a young girl.

Warner spent 37 years as a teacher and administrator and was also a board member and former president of the Scott-Fanton Museum, now known as the Danbury Museum and Historical Society. During his tenure, he supervised and contributed to numerous museum exhibits. The Warner Collection consists of writings, photographs, miscellanea, research notes and papers documenting Warner's life as a World War II medic, author, historian and historical researcher. The bulk of the collection contains an extensive series of newspaper clippings and printed materials relating to local and state history, several boxes of personal papers, and several boxes that contain information on Western's faculty, administration, and events concerning the school's history beginning in the 1940s and continuing through to the late 1990s.

The Connecticut Society of Social Hygiene was formed in 1910 with the intent to combat venereal disease and promote healthy living through education. The group was active through the middle of 1917 when the United States entered World War I. After the war they struggled to regain their financial footing. They re-formed as the Connecticut Social Hygiene Association in 1920 in an attempt to operate as a state chapter of the American Social Hygiene Association. The group disbanded in 1921.

Photographs, papers, and artifacts created or collected by Mathew B. Brady, Levin Corbin handy, their studios, and their family, 1843-1957. The collection includes images created by Brady during the American Civil War and documents the continual use of these images into the early twentieth century by Handy and his studio. The collection reflects the operations of the Brady and Handy studios in Washington, D.C., from the middle of the nineteenth century through the early twentieth century. It contains work by other photographers and other studios collected by Handy, as well as camera lenses and other photographic artifacts. A small group of papers document aspects of the extended Handy family history.
