A collection of photographs, including scenes of Litchfield after a fire and interior of Graniss and Elmore store. Ganung and Elmore, general merchandise and grocery firm of Litchfield, Connecticut, was founded by George S. Elmore (1856-1904) and C. M. Ganung in 1880 with stock purchased from a bankrupt company. In 1882, Mr. Ganung sold his interest in the store to Westoen G. Granniss (1855-1940) of Litchfield, Connecticut, and the store was renamed Granniss and Elmore. The firm dealt in general merchandise such as groceries, dry goods, dishes, crockery, carpets, window shades, screens, linoleum, and wallpaper. The firm's motto was "Everything guaranteed as represented."

The Elsa Hinchman Clark collection (2010-271-0) contains documents from the Woodruff family.

Collection consists of legal documents of Jan and Elzbieta Merta, who in 1950 immigrated to the U.S. from a displaced persons camp in Germany under the Displaced Persons Act.

The Emma L. Adams composition book (2011-41-0) contains handwritten compositions by Emma L. Adams between October 30, 1875 and November 25, 1876. The small bound notebook contains various compositions dealing with a variety of topics. One titled "A day at Irvington and Tarrytown" describes a day excursion by train of school girls from Brooklyn up the Hudson River. She discusses seeing Washington Irving's home and lunching on the veranda, as well as visiting his grave and the Old Dutch Church in Tarrytown, and seeing Sleepy Hollow. Several other compositions discuss music, and "Human Ingenuity" tackles the topics of advances in travel and communication.

Poem written in Litchfield, CT mailed to Charles Smith, Emma Leach's future husband, on the occasion of his leaving to serve in the Civil War.
