This collection documents the life and work of Anna Lane Wilson and Stanley Wilson, who were missionaries in China from 1917 to 1949, primarily serving at Yenching University. Of particular note are Anna Wilson's letters to family in the United States and journals document her voyage to China, missionary life, Chinese customs and celebrations, dress, architecture, the flu epidemic, climate, and political events.

Letters, writings, and collected material document the life and work of James Fyfe Laughton. Laughton was born of missionary parents in China, returning to Scotland to continue his education. He later studied at Crozer Seminary in Chester , PA, was ordained to the Baptist ministry in 1912, and served as pastor of a church in Westport, New York for seven years. In 1920 he was called by the American Baptist Foreign Mission Society to direct the work of their mission ship "Fukuin Maru" sailing among the islands of the Inland Sea and coast of Japan. He returned to America in 1926, traveled widely, and was engaged in religious education, lecturing, writing, and pastoral work.

Correspondence, notes, and writings document Porter's life and work. Frank Chamberlin Porter (1859-1946) was Winkley Professor of Biblical Theology at the Yale Divinity School from 1891 to 1927.

Substantive correspondence, photographs, and slides document the Ballous' life and work in China. Earle and Thelma Ballou were missionaries in Tianjin (Tientsin), North China, serving under the American Board of Commissioners for Foreign Missions (ABCFM) from 1916 to 1948.

The office of University Communications is responsible for strategic marketing and planning to promote the University's image and enhance its reputation among key local, regional and national audiences. Correspondence, writings, diaries, and photographs document Heinrichs career with the YMCA and his service with the U.S. Air Force. Letters and diaries of Waldo Heinrichs' sister Margaret shed additional light on the period of time that the Heinrichs spent in India 1930-1931. Waldo Heinrichs served as a YMCA secretary in Hawaii, India, and Jerusalem. from 1913 to 1934. He then became Professor of Contemporary Civilization at Middlebury College. He was a pilot for the U.S. Air Force during World War I, and a Combat Intelligence Officer during World War II.

The collection contains the administrative records, correspondence, legal documents, fliers, notes, and publications of the Storrs Draft Information Committee. The records contain information associated with draft counseling, draft resistance, non-violent protest, peace movement groups, and selective service at the University of Connecticut during the Vietnam War.

The collection consists of five unpublished writings compiled, annotated, or written by Mr. Levitt, a historical consultant of Fresh Meadows, New York.

The collection comprises 147 photographs from the late 19th and early 20th centuries, with representative images of Great Britain, South Africa, New Zealand, Madeira, East Asia, and other locations (many unidentified).

The collection consists of approximately two hundred letters and several other documents, most signed by English political figures and authors of the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries.
