Administrative, school, and tax records for the town of Granby.

The major figures in these papers are Alfred and Annie O. Tiffany Mitchell, whose correspondence, diaries, writings, financial accounts, photographs and other memorabilia make up the major part of the papers. Of particular interest is a long series of letters from their daughter, Charly Tiffany Mitchell Jeans. During her years at Bryn Mawr College, 1894-1898, her letters describe her education and life there. After her marriage in 1907 to the English philosopher, James Jeans, she wrote of her life in England with particularly graphic letters during the first World War. Nine branches of the family are represented in the remaining papers by scattered items of correspondence, clippings, household accounts, financial papers and assorted memorabilia. The sermons of Alfred Mitchell (1790-1831) make up the largest single portion of this section; the papers of the most prominent family member, Louis Comfort Tiffany, include only a small amount of correspondence, clippings and a drawing. His letters to his sister, Annie O. Mitchell, are in the Mitchell correspondence. The papers also include extensive genealogies, family histories and photographs of the United States and places abroad visited by Alfred Mitchell.

The papers consist of letters, many written by Paul Blum to his family during his service in the U. S. Army Ambulance Service with the French army, 1918-1919. Further correspondence with numerous associates through the time of his death in 1981 is included, as well as memorabilia, a biography, and printed material.

The papers document the late nineteenth and early twentieth-century historiography of General George Armstrong Custer and the Little Big Horn Battle. The collection contains research material consisting of correspondence, notes, writings, photoprints and maps. There is some original nineteenth centry material related to Custer, in particular the correspondence of Edward Settle Godfrey, but most of the papers are reproductions of original primary material.

The Association for Case Teaching was established in 1978 to promote the use of case studies for improving the quality of theological teaching. The "case method" is a means of participatory and dialogical teaching and learning by group discussion of actual events. ACT was a professional association of college and seminary faculty members, pastors, denominational and ecumenical staff persons, lay leaders, church professionals and other interested persons who utilized the methodology of "case teaching" in their educational and training roles. Its membership included individuals and institutions from throughout the U.S., Canada, Europe, Africa and Asia.

The papers consist chiefly of six sketchbooks of drawings and watercolors of Italian scenes and copies of old masters made by Truman Seymour after his retirement to Italy in 1876. Also included are two notebooks from 1885.

The materials consist of photographs of Yale athletic events, associations and facilities. Included are shots of practices, teams, individual athletes, cheerleaders, and games. Also included are posters, lithographs and engravings from nineteenth-century magazines. Baseball, crew, football, swimming, and track are particularly well documented.
