The papers highlight Galston's concern over the ecological harm done by herbicides and his efforts to end the use of Agent Orange, which was sprayed as a defoliant in Vietnam by the United States military. The papers also document Galston's visit to the People's Republic of China in 1971.

It also publicized and encouraged the missionary enterprise in general.

Stimmel spent the bulk of his professional life in the U.S., from the late 1950s to early 1970s, and in Lebanon, from 1972 onward, and the collection features material accumulated around his professional activities during this 50 year period.

The records of Michael Ginsberg Books includes financial records, catalogs, catalog cards, and appraisal records. Financial records consist of accounts, invoices, ledgers, receipts, checks, and statements. Catalogs include both inventory catalogs and lists of recent aquisitions from Michael Ginsberg Books as well as catalogs from other rare book dealers. Catalog cards record inventory items, the bulk of which are numbered sequentially. Appraisal records include notes, correspondence, and other papers related to appraisals conducted by Michael Ginsberg.

The collection consists of correspondence, writings, photographs, personal papers, printed material, audiovisual material, memorabilia, and artwork that document the life and work of author J. D. McClatchy from his youth to the 2010s. Correspondence is both personal and professional and includes letters from Anthony Hecht, James Merrill, Robert Penn Warren, and Richard Wilbur, among many other prominent figures of 20th and 21st century American literature, as well as correspondence relating to the publication of the Yale Review. Writings include drafts, proofs, and other material documenting the works of J. D. McClatchy, as well as journals and travel notebooks. Personal papers include documents, and diaries of Mary Jane McClatchy, mother of J. D. McClatchy.

The Nina Berberova Papers consist of correspondence, manuscripts, photographs, personal papers, memorabilia, and printed materials. The correspondence consists of personal letters from such famous Russian emigre writers and artists as Georgii Adamovich, Ivan Bunin, Zinaida Gippius, Roman Gul', Georgii Ivanov,Aleksandr Kuprin, Dmitry Merezhkovsky, Vladimir Nabokov, Aleksei Remizov, Gleb Struve, Marina TSvetaeva, Boris and Vera Zaitsev. There are 67 letters and 9 cards from Vladislav Khodasevich to Berberova, written during the 1920s and 1930s. There is also a voluminous correspondence with scholars of Russian literature.The writings consist of holographs, typescripts, and research notes or publication material for most of Berberova's major books and shorter writings. Material from her years in the United States (1950-1993) predominates. Her autobiography, Kursiv Moi, and her biography of Moura Budberg, Zheleznaia Zhenshchina, are extensively documented. Also present in the collection are Berberova's diaries from 1960 through 1993, family photographs from the 1910s and 1920s as well as snapshots of Berberova with a number of contemporaries and friends, personal effects belonging to Khodasevich, tapes of radio and television interviews, and an audio tape of Berberova reading selections of her own poetry. The Vladislav Khodasevich Papers consists of a portion of Khodasevich's correspondence and writings preserved by Berberova. There are some notes, clippings, and ephemera that were separated from the printed componenet of the papers, as well as some annotated printed materials.

The Joseph Bruchac Papers contain correspondence with family, publishers, and storytelling and literary colleagues; drafts of writings, on paper and computer disks; materials concerning writing workshops taught by Bruchac in prisons; writings of others, including Native American authors; and subject files, photographs, audiocassettes, and videocassettes, many relating to storytelling performances at festivals and schools, or to Native American storytelling and literary organizations, including Returning the Gift Native American writers conferences, 1990s, and the Wordcraft Circle of Native Writers & Storytellers, 1990s-2000s. Research strengths include Bruchac's writings and storytelling; teaching of Abenaki and other Native American cultures; 20th-century Native American literature, children's literature, and literary organizations; and 20th-century American small presses.

Sermons, writings, notes, teaching materials, and personal items provide substantive documentation of the life and work of Dr. Samuel Moss Carter, an early African American graduate of the Yale Divinity School, who was a Baptist pastor and professor of Church History, primarily in Virginia.

The collection consists of manuscript notes and card files, printed material, writings drafts and offprints, and a small amount of correspondence and grant applications relating to White's research on Thomas Mann. Notes and card files mostly concern White's research on Dante's Divina commedia and Karl Vossler's work on Dante as source material for Mann's Der Zauberberg. Some notes concern Mann's Doktor Faustus or works of other German authors. Correspondence with Joseph Angell, founding curator of the Beinecke Library's Thomas Mann Collection, concerns their shared interest in Mann, the Beinecke Library's Mann Collection, and White's research and academic career.

The Peter Ackroyd papers primarily contain research files, manuscripts, drafts, and page proofs for many of Ackroyd's novels, biographies, and historical studies, as well as related correspondence and screenplays. Also present are his appointment books, some personal papers and photographs, and personal papers of his partner Brian Michael Kuhn (1952-1994).

The collection consists of posters published in nations involved in World War I, 1914-1918, the Spanish Civil War, and World War II, 1939-1945. Great Britain, the United States, France, Germany, Italy, Russia, Canada, Australia, Ireland and other nations are represented through posters depicting such diverse topics as recruitment, enlistment, conservation, war loans, civilian service, home relief, foreign relief and propaganda messages. Posters issued by government agencies, social organizations, and private concerns are included.

The Western Film Collection consists of press kits, pressbooks, posters, photographs, souvenir programs and other materials that were distributed by film producers to movie theater operators to promote their films. The Western films represented in this collection are Western genre films, films set in the trans-Mississippi West, and/or films with Western characters. Press kits typically include advertisements prepared for submission to newspapers and magazines; black-and-white photographs of scenes from the films with credit information; printed booklets called pressbooks containing information about the film, actors, and other personnel; and posters for lobby display. Early press kits were called "campaign kits." While the majority of press kits included in the collection consist of foldered printed material, there are several examples of electronic press kits on compact disc. The Buddy Holly Story pressbook contains a "flexi disc" recording bound in.

The papers consist of correspondence, business files, autobiographical and other writings, photographs and other materials documenting the business career and personal life of Robert R. Young. The collection documents Young's efforts to take control of the Alleghany Corporation and the New York Central Railroad. The papers also include materials concerning the lives of his wife, Anita O'Keeffe Young, and his daughter, Eleanor Young.

At this time, the Papers include a portion of the Sauter-Finegan Orchestra arrangements. The parts and the scores have been organized into separate series because they were received separately. Not all of the parts have a corresponding score at this time.

The collection includes notes, early drafts, both edited and unedited manuscripts, press proofs, galleys, page layouts, dummies, art work (sketches, scratchboard, acrylic, etc.), and correspondence with his editors and publishing companies for over fifty titles.

On 29 May 29 1792, the Hartford Bank was the first bank to be granted a charter in the State of Connecticut. On 8 August 1792, the Hartford Bank opened for business at a location on the south side of Pearl Street just a short distance from Main. Throughout its long history it has been situated in the business center of Hartford and always within a block of the original site. In 1865, it joined the national bank system and became known as the Hartford National Bank. By 1970, a total of twenty banks and trust companies had been consolidated into the Hartford National family and today their services cover the entire State of Connecticut.

Scholar, author, photographer, and life-long editor and chronicler of Jack Kerouac and other writers of the Beat Generation, Ann Charters was born in November 1936 in Bridgeport, CT, the daughter of Nathan (a contractor) and Kate (Schultz) Danberg. She attended the University of California, Berkeley (B.A., 1957) and Columbia University (M.A., 1959, Ph.D., 1965). Her papers include literary manuscripts, letters, notebooks, photographs, periodicals, broadsides, interviews, audio and video recordings, works of art, and first, fine, and small press editions of works by and about Beat writers.
