The Hiram S. Spencer Ledger collection (2011-35-0) is a personal account book that was used by Hiram S. Spencer. The book has records of money received and given ranging from purchasing wagon irons to receiving money for "five days works haying." Spencer served in Company A, Second Regiment, C.V. Heavy Artillery, from 1862-65, but there are no Civil War expenditures or notations in the ledger.

An artificial record group that contains materials on the Battle of Bennington Sesquicentennial, Connecticut Commission on the Chicago International Exposition of 1933, Connecticut State Commission on the New Sweden Tercentenary, United States Constitution Bicentennial Commission of Connecticut, and the Yorktown Sesquicentennial Celebration. The records contain correspondence and printed material exchanged between Ferenc Gyorgyey, librarian for the Historical Medical Library, Yale University, and Jozsef Antall, Hungarian scholar, librarian, and political figure.

This collection consists of daguerreotypes, ambrotypes, tintypes, miniature paintings, and other direct positive photographic and non-photographic pictures, brought together here from numerous collections for special preservation and protection. Many of these pictures were formerly listed as part of the Yale Objects and Yale Picture Collections. Others were removed from various collections of personal and family papers: George Kittredge Collection, Gilman Family Papers, Chauncey Family Papers, Leicester Ely Family Papers, Page Family Papers, Wickham Family Papers, Baldwin Family Papers, Bidwell Family Papers, Bingham Family Papers, Brewer Family Papers, Hiram Bingham II Papers, Beecher Family Papers, the Roe Family Papers, Charles Lindbergh Papers, William Henry Brewer Papers, Tarleton Family Papers, Lyman Family Papers, and William Graham Sumner Papers. Most of the pictures are formal or semi-formal portraits of individuals or groups; most are daguerreotypes. Exact information about the dates is usually not available, but most of these pictures were produced in the 1840s and 1850s. Among the portraits of particular interest – historical and aesthetic – are those of Henry Ward Beecher, John C. Calhoun, Josiah Willard Gibbs, Denison Olmsted, and Benjamin Silliman.

An artificial collection of postcards, totaling approximately 6,000 items, transferred from the Schneelock-Bacon family, Gilman family, Beecher-Scoville family, and Pforzheimer papers, and miscellaneous additions.

The records consist of index cards, Yale Corporation meeting minutes, and lists documenting the professional careers of Yale's faculty, officers, and fellows for the Historical Register of Yale University.

In the fall of 2002, Professor Katherine Hermes offered a course in the history department called, "The Historical Imagination" (History 301). The GLBTQ Archives, then known as the Gender Equity Archive, was a main source for the class. Interviewees for an oral history project were chosen from notable activists represented in the archives. The collection is comprised of these interviews.

Collection consists of mounted black and white and color reproductions of artistic photographs. Content varies from original photographic prints to reproductions from magazines and other published sources. Some sections have accompanying clippings folders.

Representing a unique dedication to his regiment, William Warren's ambition was to write a complete history of the 17th Connecticut Volunteer Infantry. Partially typed and partially hand-written, the 11 volumes and two indexes that make up the collection collect the experiences of the 17th and showcase Warren's unceasing pursuit of his goal.
