The papers consist of correspondence, legal papers, diaries, estate records, account books, notebooks, deeds, and miscellanea of the Alsop family of Middletown, Connecticut. Several generations of family members are represented in the papers including: Joseph Wright Alsop (1772-1844), Joseph Wright Alsop (1804-1878), Joseph Wright Alsop (1838-1891), Joseph Wright Alsop (1876-1953), Mary Alsop Oliver Alsop (1815-1893), Richard Alsop (1726-1776), Richard Alsop (1789-1842), Charles Richard Alsop (1802-1865), and John De Koven Alsop (1879-1926). Family mercantile interests in Connecticut and related operations in Bolivia, Chile, and Peru are documented. Files relating to a legal case involving the firm of Alsop & Company, the United States government, and the governments of Bolivia and Chile (1865-1914) are included. The personal papers of several family members are also arranged in the papers.
Al Stewart was a businessman and physicist who joined the faculty in the School of Business at WestConn in 1987 after a long career mostly at Union Carbide. The collection includes personal papers, objects, art and miscellanea from Stewart's estate.

The Alternative Press Collection (APC) is one of the oldest and largest collections of alternative press materials in the United States. The APC was founded in the late 1960s out of student participation in activist movements for social, cultural and political change. The library from the Radical Education Project of the Students for a Democratic Society (SDS) was added to the collection in 1972.
The records consist of correspondence, memoranda, and reports documenting the activities and operations of the Yale University Alumni Board. Topics include alumni fund convocations, football games, cocktail parties, reunions, and finances.
After the Wesleyan centennial celebration in 1931, a few alumni began documenting their memories of Wesleyan. In 1939, the Alumni Council set up a Committee on the Collection of Recollections, which canvassed alumni for memories of faculty and anecdotes about Wesleyan history.
The Alumni Legislators Collection contains ephemera, fliers, photographs, postcards, publications, and realia related to Connecticut State Legislators who were graduates of the University of Connecticut.
