The Danbury Preservation Trust had its beginnings in 1978 during a faculty developed summer course entitled Living History, Reading the Connecticut Landscape, taught by Dr. Herbert F. Janick, Professor of History at Western Connecticut State College. After formal incorporation in January 1979, he became the Trust's first president. The records of the Danbury Preservation Trust span the years 1978-1997. The collection includes surveys to identify structures that might be included on the National Register. The bulk of this collection consists of Architectural and Historic Resources Inventories that were conducted by the Trust between 1979 and 1986. The majority of the surveys contain a small black and white photograph of the structure.

The materials comprise photographs, a photographic negative collection documenting life at Yale during World War II, exhibit files, and biographical information documenting the work of Samuel Kravitt as photographer.

The records consist of material from the Corporation Search Committee for the Selection of a Successor to President A. Whitney Griswold.

The Research Commission supported and encouraged research and related activities "relevant to the interests and welfare or the economic betterment of the citizens of Connecticut."

The main body of records dates from the NCMA's planning stages in 1964 to 1987 and includes correspondence, minutes, reports, material pertaining to various committees, consultations, and conferences, related organizations, financial material, and printed material. A number of addenda include additional records through 2014. The Association was formed to serve campus ministers by fostering their educational development, offering opportunities for support and communication, and providing channels for relating the resources of the university world to the shaping of the Church's policies and strategies for mission.

The papers document Morris's long professional career as head librarian of the Yale Divinity School Library and prominent leader in the field of theological librarianship. Raymond Philip Morris (1904-1990) was head librarian of the Yale Divinity School Library from 1932 to 1972.

Correspondence, subject files, administrative files, financial papers, and film notes largely documenting Weaver's tenure as dean of the Yale School of Art and Architecture, 1968-1974. Also included are materials from the Yale New Haven Educational Corporation, the Hills Art Co-op, and the New Haven Foundation.

The records consist of committee reports, drafts, and research materials documenting the activities and operations of the Vassar-Yale Joint Study Group, which was formed to study the possible merger between Vassar College and Yale University.

The records consist of correspondence, applications for licensing and funding, agreements, and meeting minutes documenting the Yale New Haven Educational Corporation (YNHEC) and its unsuccessful attempt to establish an education television station in New Haven, Connecticut.

The records consist of annual reports, minutes, accreditation records, budgets, and correspondence, including files of Frederick G. Kilgour and Stanley D. Truelson as directors of the Yale Medical Library. A significant number of records relate to Kilgour's involvement with early library automation efforts. Other records pertain to Kilgour's published writings on library automation, the history of science and technology, and library administrative concerns.
