Also included are a small amount of papers belonging to Dorothy Gabain, Crawford's second wife. The largest part of the papers is made up of plays, fiction and literary criticism, both published and unpublished, written by Crawford. Also included are lecture notes and texts and students papers reflecting his teaching career at Yale University (1909-1946).

The papers include correspondence, writings, and research materials concerning classical philology, Latin and Latin literature. Correspondents include prominent European and American philologists, classicists and educators such as Franz Cumont, Basil L. Gildersleeve, and Minton Warren. Departmental minutes and correspondence document Hendrickson's term as chairman of Yale's Department of Classics, 1912-1919 and 1925-1933. Correspondence with Mikhail I. Rostovtsev and Charles C. Torrey concerning the excavations at Dura Europos, and classical excavation at Yale and other institutions is included.

Correspondence, writings, speeches, notes and clippings on European political affairs and biographical material of Kiderlen-Wächter, German diplomat and Secretary of State. The most significant and largest portion of his correspondence and notes is that to his mistress, Hedwig Heting Kypke. These papers form a veritable diary of his life and of events in the Foreign Office from 1891 to 1912. Other correspondents include Wilhelm II, Bethmann-Hollweg, von Bulow, Eulenburg-Hertefeld, Marschall von Bieberstein and Alfred Zimmerman.
