The material consists of a videotape documenting Yale's undergraduate colleges.

The records consist of correspondence, memoranda, minutes, financial reports, pamphlets and press clippings documenting the activities and operations of the Association of Yale Alumni (AYA).

The papers include correspondence mainly regarding Astle's work in the Record Office. There is also correspondence with James Adams about his work on grammar, with Charles Blagden about the Pompeiian excavations, and with Harriot Collinson about her husband's work (John Collinson's "The History and Antiquities of the County of Somerset"). Much of the correspondence is annotated in an unidentified hand.

The records consist of correspondence, letter books, financial papers, reports, and recommendations documenting the period of planning and construction of the Astronomical Observatory, also known as the Yale University Observatory. Notable contributors to the records include Leonard Waldo, astronomer in charge of the Horological Bureau of the Observatory; Robert Brown, secretary of the Board of Managers; and Hubert A. Newton, director of the observatory.

The Wesleyan University Athletic Council began in 1903 and was comprised of faculty, alumni, and students. The Council regulated most aspects of athletics including the administering of budgets, negotiations with other schools for intercollegiate matches and scheduling, player eligibility rules, hiring and supervising coaches, establishing records, and the awarding of varsity letters.

The records consist of bound volumes of minutes, memoranda, reports, and correspondence of the Yale Athletic Governing Board, formerly the Athletic Association Board of Athletic Control.

The Athletic Teams' Records contain a number of volumes that document personal and team records for Wesleyan teams including both Wesleyan records and intercollegiate athletic records set during athletic contests. Some volumes contain detailed scoring information and statistics from teams including baseball and football. Other sports represented in the collection include golf, hockey, lacrosse, basketball, swimming, boating, softball, and tennis.

The papers include correspondence and legal documents relating to the careers of Lewis Atterbury (d. 1693), Lewis Atterbury (1656-1731), and Francis Atterbury, as well as various receipts, epitaphs, poems, prayers, and seals.
