General
The article tells of Danbury's first Ethnic Festival sponsored by the Richter Park Association. A total of 8,000 people attended. The event was held at Rogers Park Junior High School in later years. Ethnic groups could hand out literature, display tradition crafts, and serve food from their culture. The event was run by the Greater Danbury Intercultural Association. Many ethnic groups were represented, "including Yankees." The association hoped to establish an ethnic and cultural center in the city. |Identifier: ms069_devlin_1983_09_22b
