The image shows a watermelon, with its side split open, and with a flowering vine attached. The Latin name is given as Melo-aquaticus; Anguria Citrullus (see Citrullus lanatus).

Files of men and women walk behind the bridal couple, and a monk looks on at right. Likely one of a series of photos taken at Mariannhill Monastery.

Saunders paper, the other on French Vélin Arches paper of which this is copy no. 140. Richard Shirley Smith's 'cone and ribbons' Libanus Press logo [1975; Bain no. 235] used on the colophon page and on the prospectus produced by the press, a copy of which is laid in.
