Type specimen book for Arcadian Bembo, Roman, Italic, and Expert typefaces, developed by Tru Typographic Research Unit Limited in association with Monotype Imaging Ltd.. Page 3 includes a reproduction (at a reduced scale) of Richard Shirley Smith's engraving of Pietro Bembo.

Unlike the other volumes in the collection, this sketchbook was created to document a specific event. Inscribed "A Recollection of Ireland / in December 1860 / To Charlotte Leighton, / form her affecate sister F.," the sketchbook includes watercolors that document the siblings' trip to Ireland. It begins with an image of Thornhill—likely the home of the Leightons' Irish hosts—and includes tourist sites featuring both natural and architectural wonders. Judging from the order of the drawings, the travelers appear to have begun their tour in County Monaghan in the north and traveled as far south as County Wicklow. The final image in the sketchbook is a group photograph of the traveling party, whose members are identified by annotations on the facing page.

The image shows a pink and yellow flower, with a long stem and several roots. Beneath is an complete caption, reading "The" and then an unclear word in pencil.

The image shows a figure riding a horse composed of other female figures, posed to resemble the shape of a horse. The caption continues: "This Deity is supposed to be the Son of Maya, or the attracting Power; and is sometimes represented in this manner; and at others riding on an Elephant, whose body is composed of seven young women, entwined in so ingenious a manner as to exhibit the shape of a fine elephant."

The image shows a river, with steep rocky banks on either side, receding into the distance. Several bridges connect the banks above, and two figures walk over the closest one. A boat with four figures inside is in the foreground.

Label is inscribed, in pen and black ink: "Aretia alpina. Androsace lactea."

The image shows four figures: a young child, a seated woman holding the child, and a man and woman walking next to each other. The man wears an elaborate black hat; the women both wear headcoverings. In the background are several trees, including a jackfruit tree with numerous fruits.

The compiler of the notebook is unrecorded, but it is probably Thomas William Carr (of Barming). Most of the contents concern the coats of arms of the Carr family, and those of related families. The volume includes manuscript notes, assorted printed material (tipped in), engravings of coats of arms, drawings of arms (many colored), and letters to Thomas William Carr.
