Malawista's abstract was "Colchicine: A Common Mechanism for its Anti-Inflammatory and Anti-Mitotic Effects." It is not clear from the folder that Malawista attended the conference.

From a folder labeled "X-Ray Irradiation Variation and Mutation," this experiment from early in Hsiung's career contains pictures of cells before and after radiation treatment from a variety of animal models, including capuchin, rhesus and patas monkeys as well as mice. Later files feature the stoppered bottle cultures that Hsiung and Melnick developed to incubate viruses, with notes on recognized cytopathic effect.
