Folder contains information about re-creations of medicine shows, especially correspondence of William Helfand on the Medicine Show exhibition at the American Place Theatre, 1983, for which Helfand lent materials. There is also correspondence on Helfand's talks and publications on the medicine show. This material was formerly inserted loose in Album 11.

William Hoare Tomlinson, Cancer Profiteers: Suppression of Truth, London, ca. 1932. Leather covered book with bookplate of Frederick L. Hoffman, inscribed in ink to Dr. Percy Sargent, F.R.C.S., November 21, 1932. Tomlinson, described as a London medical practitioner, was promoting the Placentin Treatment.

Identifiied by a patron as a letter to the emperor of China by the Secretary of State William L. Marcy about the designation of Peter Parker as American Commissioner to China.

Williams asks Powers if the traveling physician Moses Hale, who claimed to have "cured" Powers's wife of "the Consumption," is truthful or an "imposter." Hale has not thus far helped Williams's "complaint."

Sends Osborne an abstract (not included) of what he had the pleasure of presenting at the Yale Medical Alumni Association on March 28.
