The collection contains work by Elizabeth MacKinstry: autograph and typescript versions of poems, a set of illustrations for the children's book Eliza and the Elves, by Rachel Field (New York: Macmillan Company, 1926), and a scrapbook of her original and printed artwork dating from 1924-1934. One volume of poems was bound by John F. Grabau of Buffalo, New York, for MacKinstry's presentation to Emily Howland Leeming Lyman. Also present is a published volume of MacKinstry's poems, Helen's Mirror and Other Verses (London: Elkin Mathews, 1913), issued under her pseudonym Elizabeth Westermain.

This collection consists of correspondence, manuscripts, galley proofs, and artwork that documents a varied sample of projects undertaken by Jonathan Williams and The Jargon Society, 1949-1990. Correspondence documents associations Williams had with collaborators for projects for The Jargon Society and with other publishers. Correspondents include Dana Winslow Atchley, Thomas A. Clark, Ian Gardner, Michael Loeb, Tom Phillips, U. Grant Roman, David Ruff, Henry Holmes Smith, Jon Edgar Webb, and Henry Weaning.
Manuscripts and galley proofs document projects related to Williams. This includes a description of the ceramic art of Arnold Ward written by Williams in 1949, and the graphic design work of Dana Winslow Atchley for Jonathan Williams and Nicholas Dean, Blues & Roots, Rue & Bluets (1971) and a manuscript by Michael McClure for Passage (1957) published by The Jargon Society.
Artwork documents illustration material created, used, or considered by Williams in his personal projects or works published by The Jargon Society, as well as works by artists associated with him and the press. Artists include Fielding Dawson, Thomas Reuben George, Barbara Mildred Jones, David Ruff, and Paul Sinodhinos.

Manuscript Senate and Assembly bills of Nevada and related documentation, 1866-1901, documenting proposed, draft, and final versions of laws. Each bill includes annotations by the Clerk of the Assembly or the Secretary of the Senate tracing the successive stages of the bill: when introduced, reported in or out of committee, advanced to first, second, or third reading, ordered engrossed, tabled, voted upon, or otherwise made the subject of legislative action. Laws documented include legislation pertaining to the establishment and incorporation of towns from settlements and mining camps; the jury system; the militia; county boundaries; railroads; mining; labor; river navigation; defense against Indian attacks; carrying concealed weapons; marriage and divorce; and gambling. Also includes manuscript acknowledgments, signed by state officials and governors, for the receipt of state publications, 1866-1877.
