Collection consists of correspondence, writings, articles and notes by and about Sholem Asch gathered by Paul Novick, editor of the only paper willing to publish him at the height of the controversy over his trilogy, Der Man fun Notseres (The Nazarene, 1939), Der Sheliekh (The Apostle, 1943), and Meri (Mary, 1949). Jewish leaders accused Asch of teaching conversion to Christianity, a charge that Asch emphatically denied. Asch's writings reflect his concern for the Jews in Europe during and after the second World War.

The Maurice Sand papers contains family and professional correspondence, publishing contracts, writings, drawings, posters, and other material by or about the nineteenth-century author, illustrator, and puppeteer. The collection offers substantial documentation of Sand's theatrical work from the late 1840s to the 1880s; included are holograph scripts, scenarios, or posters for over forty puppet plays created by Sand. The collection also includes three novel drafts, a set of playing cards issued by an unidentified French publisher with humorous additions in ink and pencil by Sand, as well as a manuscript libretto, manuscript music fragments, with vocal lines only, and related correspondence for Callirhoé (circa 1886), an opera by Auguste Bazille (1828-1891) with text by Armand Silvestre (1837-1901) based on a scenario by Sand.

Photographs consists of pictures of Ivask's friends and colleagues.

The Josephine Procopio Albarelli Collection of Gilberto Owen and Elías Nandino contains correspondence, mostly letters to Albarelli from Owen, 1948-1951, and from Nandino, 1951-1989; autograph manuscript and typescript poems and other writings by Owen and Nandino, copies of their writings made by Albarelli, and proofs for her editions of Owen's Poesía y prosa and Obras, 1950s-1980s; sound recordings, including readings of poetry by Nandino and Alí Chumacero (Voz viva de México; Serie literatura mexicana, 1960s); photographs and negatives of Owen, Nandino, Albarelli, and others, undated; two oil paintings by Nandino, undated; drawings by Hector Xavier for illustrations of books by Nandino, 1950s; and related clippings, posters, and other printed material. Some materials are accompanied by identifying notes written by Albarelli. Research strengths include Mexican literature, 1950s-1990s, especially poetry of Owen and Nandino and their association with Los Contemporáneos; and Albarelli's editing of writings by Owen.
