The papers of Antonio Ochoa Carrillo, 1852-1871, with letters that provide extensive information about the European Intervention in Mexico and limited documentation related to the Reform War in Mexico. Includes 56 letters from Mexican president Benito Juárez, as well as 12 letters from others, including future Mexican presidents Sebastián Lerdo de Tejada and José María Iglesias, as well as Mexican General Ramón Corona. The collection also includes five draft letters written by Ochoa.

The collection consists of letters and manuscripts documenting the publication of the anthology in 1938. Contributors include: W. H. Auden, John Brownson, Cecil Day Lewis, Lion Feuchtwanger, George de Fiedorowicz, Louis Golding, Geoffrey Grigson, Robert Herring, Herbert Hodge, James Lansdale Hodson, Jeffrey Eardley Jeffrey, Peter Lagger, David Low, Louis MacNeice, Kingsley Martin, Siegfried Sassoon, John Strachey, Frank Tilsley, Edward Upward and Rex Warner.
Series I, Correspondence, contains letters from 15 of the 20 contributors to Osborne. Letters mention manuscripts, revisions, copyright and book royalties. All letters are accompanied by a typescript summary of the letter contents.
Series II, Writings, consists of typescript or printed versions of manuscripts from all contributing writers and biographical statements.

Other topics include the royal succession, taxation, and court practices.

The Lois and Louis Darling Papers consist of writings, correspondence, artwork, galley proofs, mock-ups, printed material, and other papers relating to the professional lives of Lois and Louis Darling. Material relates to the Darlings' collaborative and individual publications, including Greenhead (William Morrow, 1954); The Gull's Way (William Morrow,1965); The Sea Serpents Around Us: A Complete Guide to Sea Serpentology (Little Brown, 1965); A Place in the Sun: Ecology and the Living World (William Morrow, 1968); The Science of Life (World Publishing Company, 1961); Worms (William Morrow, 1972); and the unpublished "One Dozen Eggs." Included among the papers is an illustration entiteld "Pseudocephalopod", with a corresponding photographic negative.

William Wordsworth collection, 1798-1850

The collection consists of letters and writings by William Wordsworth. The autograph letters, signed, are from Wordsworth to his colleagues, friends, and family, along with Wordsworth autographs clipped from letters and documents. One letter contains an autograph addition, signed, by Samuel Taylor Coleridge. Writings in the collection are by Wordsworth, in his hand and that of his sister Dorothy Wordsworth and wife Mary Wordsworth. Also included are groups of page proofs and two published works, Lyrical Ballads with Other Poems, vol. II (London: T. N. Longman and O. Rees, 1800), and Poems in Two Volumes (London: Longman, Hurst, Rees, and Orme, 1807), with William and Dorothy Wordsworth's autograph edits for second editions. Other Papers holds one letter from Edward Quillinan to "Miss Tudor" (1850), regarding Wordsworth's death.

Harvey Shapiro papers, 1923-2013

The collection contains correspondence, writings, and personal papers documenting the personal and professional life of American poet and editor Harvey Shapiro. Correspondence consists chiefly of letters to Shapiro from American and English-language authors, literary critics, and editors who came of age in the post-WWII period. There are files for Barbara Gibbs and Francis Golffing and for author and publisher Alan Swallow, but letters can also be found for Charles Bernstein, Allen Ginsberg, David Ignatow, Robert Lowell, George Oppen, and others. Many letters from writers are addressed to Shapiro in his capacity as editor of The New York Times Magazine or The New York Times Book Review. The Writings series contains writings by Shapiro, material relating to work by Shapiro, such as publicity and reviews, and writings by others. Shapiro's writings feature drafts for a number of poetry collections, including Lauds and Nightsounds (1978), The Light Holds (1984), National Cold Storage Company (1988), and This World (1971), as well as shorter works. The writings by others may have been solicited by or submitted to Shapiro in his capacity as editor and separated from accompanying correspondence. Personal papers include clippings and programs, financial and legal records, and a small number of photographs.

Richard S. Becker collection of Alex Bradford and Arthur Alexander and other papers, 1961-2014

Collection contains memorabilia relating to Alex Bradford and Arthur Alexander assembled by music publisher Richard S. Becker and some of Becker's personal papers. The memorabilia, such as framed albums and printed ephemera, relates to Alex Bradford's and Arthur Alexander's better known works, including Bradford's theatrical work, "Don't Bother Me, I Can't Cope," and covers of Alexander's songs by The Rolling Stones ("You Better Move On") and The Beatles ("Anna"). Becker's personal papers include awards and a small number of photographs and letters from political figures.

Edward Meyer Kern and Richard H. Kern papers, 1795-1895, bulk 1850-1860

The papers contain journals, notebooks, drawings and maps, documents and correspondence which document the activities of Edward and Richard Kern in the West and the Pacific from 1845-1860. A journal and a notebook document Edward Kern's participation in Fremont's third expedition to California; and a journal, a logbook, drawings, two maps and a letter document Edward's participation in the Northern Pacific Exploring Expedition in 1853-1856. A scrapbook of unsigned preliminary sketches and drawings by either Edward or Richard Kern document the time spent by both in New Mexico, and feature drawings of New Mexico, Mexico, and Arizona. Five notebooks attributed to Richard contain similar preliminary sketches and drawings. The correspondence includes a letter from brother-in-law William B. Wolfe who describes Richard's death in the Gunnison Massacre in 1853.
