The Thomas E. Marston family papers contain Marston family correspondence, writings by Thomas E. Marston, photographs, family material, and a small amount of material relating to Thomas E. Marston's collecting of medieval and early modern books and manuscripts, and his association with the Yale University Library. Most family correspondence consists of letters to Julia Dale Ewart Marston from Josephine Sands Marston, 1938-1951, concerning family news; accompanying these are letters from Thomas E. Marston and their children, Josephine Ewart Marston and Thomas Marston, and photographs of the children. Other correspondence of Julia Dale Ewart Marston includes additional letters from Thomas E. Marston, 1951-1954, concerning his divorce from Josephine Sands Marston, and letters from other members of the Marston and Sands families, 1923-1964, as well as from other correspondents, including Anne-Marie von Schutzbar genannt Milchling.

Crimes include failure to provide for minor children, rape, embezzlement, forgery, grand larceny, and contributing to the dependency of a minor. Most posters include a monetary reward and an image or description of the suspect. Includes 2 photographs of suspects.

Western Theater Souvenir Program Collection, 1922-1994

The collection consists of souvenir theater programs for plays set in the trans-Mississippi West, dating from 1921 to 1994. Productions represented include dramas, comedies, and musicals such as Annie Get Your Gun (1946), Bus Stop (1955), Flower Drum Song (1958), Show Boat (1948), and Zoot Suit (1979). The majority of the programs are from Broadway productions, and are dated by year of the New York opening when not indicated on the program. Additional programs represent touring companies of Broadway productions and locally-produced shows including Ramona (Hemet, California, 1939) and Promised Valley (Salt Lake City, Utah, 1947).

Barnett contain sacred vocal music and other vocal music by Barnett, 1859-1886 and undated, including autograph manuscript scores, scores and parts copied by Hendrick and unidentified copyists, and published music. Some music is accompanied by autograph manuscript notes by Hendrick about performance, editing, and publication, or by printed performance programs. Also present are additional autograph manuscript notes by Hendrick about Barnett's music, undated; music notebooks written by Hendrick while a student of Barnett, 1873 and undated; concert programs and newspaper clippings about performances of music by Barnett, 1860-circa 1885; and an autograph letter signed, from Hendrick to Eva Judd O'Meara, Yale University music librarian, presenting manuscript music by Barnett, 1923 June 13.

The Ann Petry Manuscripts contains the writings of American author Ann Petry. Writings consist of drafts of Petry's novels Country Place (1947) and The Street (1946), some with extensive revisions. Some draft pages were written on the back of Negro Women, Incorporated, newsletters and governance documents. Also included are drafts of Petry's review of Margaret Halsey's Color Blind: A White Woman Looks at the Negro (1946). Correspondence consists of a carbon copy of Petry's 1944 submission to the Houghton Mifflin Literary Fellowship Contest.
