A collection of bound volumes and other papers. There are 47 bound volumes, typewritten and with tipped-in clippings, about general poetics and acrostics, and containing copies of Panin's writings (poetry, prose, memoirs, diaries), and correspondence. The volumes include a 26 volume work on the history of the acrostic. The papers also include correspondence, photographs, loose clippings, and printed matter on related subjects.

Edmund Clarence Stedman Collection, 1860-1915

The collection documents the professional literary work and personal life of the writer Edmund Clarence Stedman. It includes incoming and outgoing correspondence with fellow writers and editors, with publishers, and with friends and family. A small number of autograph manuscripts of his writings are present. The collection also contains papers of and correspondence among Stedman's extended family, including his mother Elizabeth Kinney; his wife Laura Hyde Woodworth Stedman; his son Frederick Stedman; Frederick's wife Ellen Douglas Stedman; and the Douglas family. Correspondence and papers of Frederick Stedman's daughter, Laura Woodworth Stedman Gould Dees, who served as literary executor for her grandfather, chiefly concern E.C. Stedman's work and legacy.

Fausto Giaccone photographs and papers, 1966-2013

The collection consists of photographs, papers, and publications that document the work of Italian photojournalist Fausto Giaccone (1943-), from 1966 to 2013. The material includes Giaccone's reportage of social and cultural aspects of Europe, South America, and the Middle East, with an emphasis on political movements in Italy and Portugal from 1966 to 1986. The photographic materials in this collection consist of exhibition prints, work prints, contact sheets, and original slides for fifteen photo journalism assignments; prints for three exhibitions; and slides and work prints for two books, as well as a portfolio of color prints. The papers largely document the production of the book Una storia portoghese (Palermo: Randazzo, 1987), and include clippings and exhibition reviews. The papers also include exhibition catalogs, publications, and publicity material produced for various projects. Some of Giaccone's publications are also included with the collection.

George Eliot and George Henry Lewes collection, 1834-1981

The collection includes correspondence by, to and about Eliot and Lewes. There are 4 journals, 1 diary, several notebooks with notes for a projected novel, quotes, poetry, and early school essays all belonging to George Eliot, accompanied by reviews and scripts of dramatizations of Daniel Deronda in the 1920s and 1970s. With 3 journals, 9 diaries, and notebooks with research notes belonging to George Henry Lewes, accompanied by miscellaneous writings, including several chapters of Problems of Life and Mind. There is also printed material, reviews, memorabilia, and photograph portraits of Eliot and Lewes as well as artwork by others. Principal correspondents include members of the Lewes family, Caroline and Charles Bray, John Emerich Edward Dalberg Acton, Barbara Leigh Smith Bodichon, John Chapman, Anna Chalmers and J. W. Cross, Alexandre D'Albert-Durade, Frederic Harrison, Sara Sophia Hennell, Frances Lucy Evans Houghton, Maria Lewis, Edward Robert Bulwer Lytton, Herbert Spencer, and Anthony Trollope.

The collection includes letter-press books, writings, diaries, notes, photographs, and drawings. The papers largely relate to Pratt's work with and theories on the education of American Indians and his involvement with the Carlisle Indian School. Included is material relating to the controversies surrounding his work and much relating to Indians and Indian life in general. There are a group of Indian photographs and drawings, and papers relating to members of Pratt's family.

Lydia Winston Malbin papers, 1891-1997, bulk 1938-1997

The collection consists primarily of files relating to individual works of art in the Malbin art collection, in addition to correspondence with artists, curators, dealers, museums and galleries; photographs; documentation regarding gifts and loans; material relating to Lydia Winston Malbin's collecting activities and related projects; a small amount of papers of Malbin's father, Albert Kahn; scrapbooks; and card files. The papers provide extensive documentation of a major twentieth-century collection which is no more and of individual works within the collection; as well as insight into some of the leading artists of this century, and particularly of the Italian Futurists, such as Umberto Boccioni. They also illustrate in detail the practice of art collecting as carried out by Malbin, one of the great American practitioners of that avocation.
