Norman Zolot (August 13, 1920-February 6, 2017) was a New Haven, Connecticut, born attorney, active in representing labor unions in the state from the 1940s to the 2000s. The papers consist of his legal case files, primarily concerning labor disputes in the state of Connecticut between the years 1947 and 1979. In addition to legal case files, the collection contains printed reference materials related to state and national labor unions and issues pertaining to the period.

Mrs. Zallinger has illustrated numerous children's books, mainly non-fictional works about animals and plants, including such titles as Biography of a Leaf, Discovering What Earthworms Do, The Earliest Americans, and Sea Creatures Do Amazing Things.

The collection includes thousands of human rights publications from around the world collected from 1977 to the present by Human Rights Internet, a non-governmental organization based out of Ottawa, Canada, founded by Laurie S. The collection includes materials not found in any other libraries in North America, and includes publications in a variety of languages including English, French, Spanish, Dutch, German, Swedish, Chinese and Japanese (among many others).
