The collection contains memoranda, papers, reports and a few photographs collected by Solomon Wollman, photographer for the University of Connecticut (1951-).

The Somersville Manufacturing Company was established in 1879 by Rockwell Keeney and produced fine woolens in Somersville, Connecticut. The company was run by members of the Keeney family for the 90 years of its existence. The collection consists of administrative and financial records, marketing materials, photographs, scrapbooks, and correspondence.

Established in January 1878 as the District Telephone Company of New Haven, Connecticut; opened the world's first telephone exchange that same year. Reorganized as the Southern New England Telephone Company in 1882. Provided telephone service to residents in the state of Connecticut until 1998.

Memorabilia and artifacts related to the Southern New England Telephone Company of Connecticut, including antique telephones, a climbing belt and lanyard used by a crewman, the cellphone used to make the first cellphone call in Connecticut, an operator's dial pencil, an employee service pin and Telephone Pioneers memorabilia, and "clothing" made from pages from the SNET Yellow Pages. Also includes a printing plate of the first telephone directory created in February 1878, of subscribers to the New Haven District Telephone Company, the predecessor of SNET.

Stan Brakhage was born 14 January 1933, in Kansas City, MO. He is an Independent filmmaker and currently professor of film history at the University of Colorado. Brakhage has also lectured in film history and aesthetics at Art Institute of Chicago and at colleges in the United States and Europe. He is a member of selection committee for the Anthology of Cinema.

A graduate of the University of Connecticut (B.A., 1951) and the University of Texas--Austin (M.A.), had a long career in all aspects of music and musicology, including teaching, writing, performing, conducting and directing.

Stewart Brett McKinney, Congressman from Connecticut's Fourth District, was born in Pittsburgh, PA, 30 January 1931. McKinney served as a State Representative in Connecticut's General Assembly, 1966-1970 and was a minority leader of the State House of Representatives, 1969-1970. McKinney was first elected as a Republican from the 4th District to the 92nd Congress on 3 November 1970, and was re-elected 8 times, 1972-1986.

The collection contains administrative records and historical documents of the Storrs (Connecticut) Congregational Church.

The collection contains correspondence, reports, membership lists and other pertinent and ephemeral materials concerning the history, organization, and fraternal affiliates of the Storrs School Literary Society (later the College Shakespearean Club).

In June 2001, the World Trade Organization met in Göteborg, Sweden, amidst much protest.
