The Walter L. Pforzheimer Papers contain personal correspondence, diaries, writings, notes, and family papers; correspondence, reports, and other documents relating to the United States Army during World War II, the Central Intelligence Agency, the CIA's Historical Intelligence Collection, and the United States Defense Intelligence College; historical manuscripts and related materials collected by Pforzheimer concerning the history of military intelligence, including autograph documents, signed, by European heads of state and American presidents, seventeenth-twentieth centuries; prints, posters, and newspapers, including rare seventeenth-twentieth century items relating to Molie?re and other subjects; framed oil paintings and prints; book collecting notes, lists, vendor receipts, and card catalogs; rare postage stamps, including propaganda and forgeries; photographs, glass and film negatives, glass stereographs, and photograph albums; video and audio recordings, including interviews with Pforzheimer and presentations by him; microfilms; computer disks; and objects collected by Pforzheimer, including Molie?re medals, military decorations, and memorabilia relating to his intelligence career.

The papers document Neville's career as a writer and counterculture leader, especially his work on the Sydney and London versions of the underground magazine Oz. Scrapbooks, correspondence, transcripts, writings, and other papers document Neville's obscenity trials in Australia and England and later dramatizations of the trials. Writings also document Neville's later work for publications such as Rolling Stone. Photographs and papers document Neville's family and childhood in Australia. The collection also includes artwork and other papers relating to Oz art director Martin Sharp.

The collection documents the adminstration of the theater, its stage productions, and its relationship to other avant-garde and radical cultural and political movements in the United States and Europe during the time period from the 1960s to the present. Also included are extensive diaries and journals of Judith Malina and Julian Beck, as well as their personal papers and writings. The collection consists of photographs, picture postcards, printed ephemera and other printed material collected by Alfred E. Heller documenting international fairs and exhibitions held around the world between 1851 and 2005. Photographs, picture postcards, and printed ephemera depict the locations and attractions of individual fairs and exhibitions, particularly those held in Europe and America during the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. Highlights include: photographs of the Paris Universal Exposition of 1878 taken by Hippolyte Auguste Collard and photographs of the Exposition universelle de 1889 (Paris, France) taken by the Neurdein Brothers. Files of printed material relating to late-twentieth century fairs and exhibitions document aspects of the planning, promotion and publicity associated with each. Extensive documentation can be found for the Louisiana World Exposition (1984: New Orleans, Louisiana), Expo 86 (1986: Vancouver, British Columbia), Expo '88 (1988: Brisbane, Queensland), Exposición Universal de 1992 (1992: Seville, Spain), Expo '98 (1998: Lisbon, Portugal), and Expo 2000 (2000: Hannover, Germany), among others.
