The Small Pond Magazine Records contain correspondence, writings, and productions files created in the production of the literary magazine. Correspondence includes letters from contributors to the editor, Napoleon St. Cyr. Writings include works from contributors for review and publication in the magazine. Production files include notes, galleys proofs, photographs, and drawings. The records span the years 1970-1999.

The Southern Review records contain correspondence and other papers documenting activity at the influential literary journal from 1935 to 1943. Correspondence consists chiefly of original letters from authors and carbons of outgoing letters from the editors. Most incoming letters are addressed to the founding editors, Cleanth Brooks and Robert Penn Warren, but there are letters to others as well, including Albert Erskine, Robert Lowell, and Charles W. Pipkin. There is also some correspondence with literary agents, publishers, and others relating to or on behalf of authors and writings, including corrected drafts and proofs. Other materials include financial and legal records, unidentified writings, and a catalog of publications, including lists of unread and returned manuscripts.

The Vinland Map and the Tartar Relation: Proofs and Subject Files contains corrected and uncorrected proofs of this work on the "Vinland Map" (Beinecke MS 350A), as wells as extensive files of newspaper and magazine cliippings of book reviews, news items, and publicity about the map and the claims for its preColumbian origin.

The Thomas Beer Collection contains correspondence between Beer and his publisher Alfred A. Knopf and printed versions of Beer's writings. The Collection also contains reviews of Beer's writings, articles about Beer, original illustrations for Beer's publications, and a photograph of Beer.

The Thomas Caldecot Chubb Papers consist almost entirely of manuscripts, typescripts and galley proofs of Chubb's published works, including Aretino, Scourge of Princes; Letters of Pietro Aretino; and Dante and His World.

Letters to and from Thomas Campbell. 18 letters to various people, many of them drafts, nine of them to William George Spencer Cavendish, duke of Devonshire. 54 letters to Campbell from various people, including 8 letters from James Thomson Gibson Craig, and 6 letters from Charlotte Townshend Osborne, duchess of Leeds. Accompanied by miscellaneous notes, clippings, theater programs, etc. belonging to Thomas Campbell; in all, 10 items.

Correspondence, writings, commonplace books, and other papers related to Thomas Campbell. Correspondence consists of a copy of a letter from Thomas Jefferson to Campbell. Campbell's writings include drafts of essays and biographies included in Specimens of British Poets; additional biographies of British poets; lectures on English poetry and drama; an annotated copy of The Poetical Works of Thomas Campbell; English history timelines, 872-1189; and research notes on English history and literature. Two commonplace books include correspondence to and from Campbell; "Reminiscences of the Poet" (1837-44) transcribed from a diary kept by Roylance Child; "Campbell's School Poems and Translations, 1787-1792;" poems by Campbell, possibly transcribed by William Beattie; and letters to Beattie from James Wingate regarding copies of Campbell's poems. Also includes manuscript copies of poems by various 17th and 18th century British poets. Other papers include a summons in a case of "Frederick Campbell Stewart, Esc. of Ascog, against Ferdinand S. Campbell and the other Heirs of Entail to the Estates of Ascog."

The Thomas Carlyle Collection is a mixed-provenance collection of material by and about Thomas Carlyle. Material includes writings, notes, maps, and correspondence that document Carlyle's research on German history and literature and on Oliver Cromwell, among other topics.

The papers contain correspondence, appointments, discharge certificates, photographs, printed material, and other military papers documenting Tobey's life and career, particularly during the Civil War years. There is additional material concerning his later career during which time he served at several Far Western posts.
