The collection contains Ebenezer Stevens' correspondence and documents, and nine financial account books for the firm of Ebenezer Stevens' Sons. The correspondence primarily relates to Stevens' military service and cohort including Horatio Gates, and his relationships with Antigua merchants Thomas Norbury Kerby and Samuel Byam Athill; also present are letters from Robert Liston, Britain's minister plenipotentiary to the United States. Other papers include Ebenezer Stevens' military appointment certificate, a petition on behalf of a political appointment for John Murray Forbes, and a manuscript map of the military installations around Fort Erie in Ontario, Canada. The collection is accompanied by three early twentieth-century reproductions featuring images of Ebenezer Stevens.

The Stratemeyer Syndicate Records consist of legal and financial documents, letters, and notebooks which record the operations of some aspects of the syndicate from the 1960s to 1984, and the sale of the publishing concern in 1984.

The collection consists of letters, memoirs, photographs, annotated books, and other papers created and accumulated by Stuart Hayt Patterson, documenting his relationship with Ernest Thompson Seton and both men's experiences as ranch hands in New Mexico in the early 1890s. Highlights include drafts of Patterson's memoirs, featuring a chapter on Seton and the events that inspired Seton's book Wild Animals I Have Known (1898) and including rewrites by someone identified only as "Moore," letters from Seton and L. V. F. Randolph, annotated copies of Seton's books, and photographs of Patterson at various points in his life.

This collection documents the Sugg family and McDonald family in Sonora, California, circa 1850-1973. Papers in the collection include correspondence, financial records, school records, recipes, photographs, and scrapbooks, as well as material related to collecting postage stamps. A group of papers also document the relationship between the Sugg family and George W. Nicol, a superior court judge in Tuolumne County, 1891-1922. Photographs in the collection consist chiefly of family portraits and snapshots, as well as examples of news photography created by Vernon McDonald for the Modesto Herald newspaper and Associated Press. The collection also includes books and printed material accumulated by the family.

The collection consists of material created and accumulated by Susan Howe in the course of her activities as a poet, author, and teacher, and primarily documents Howe's literary career from 1998 to 2008. Material includes correspondence with poets, authors, artists, and musicians; drafts and manuscripts of published poetry collections, including The Midnight, Kidnapped, and Pierce-Arrow, and other writings; notebooks and diaries; teaching and research material; artwork; and family and personal papers.

Correspondence, diaries, writings, and other papers recording Susan Wilbur Jones' years in Europe, Chicago, and Cambridge, Mass. as a student, editor, author, wife, and mother. In addition to much material on Susan's family life and life as a student, the papers contain references to the Chicago literary world, in which Susan and her husband Llewellyn socialized with Harriet Monroe, Floyd Dell, John Cowper Powys, Edgar Lee Masters, Carl Sandburg, and Mark Turbyfill. The correspondence is arranged into personal correspondence, business correspondence, and personal business correspondence. Principal correspondents include Katherine Lee Bates, and cousins Edward Brigham, E. P. Warren, and Cornelia Warren. Also included is a letter from her mentally ill aunt Susan Rice, and a letter from Gyp Taylor discussing life in Paris in 1932 mentioning Gertrude Stein, Natalie Barney, William Seabrook, and Ford Madox Ford. There are also family letters from Susan's mother and father, mostly dating from 1909 when Susan spent a year in Europe; as well as correspondence to Susan and her mother from Susan's great-aunt, Susan C. Warren, and from Susan's grandmother, Sarah Ann Cook Wilbur. The diaries are dated 1912, 1914-16, 1918-1919, 1921-1924. Writings include "Saint Nicholas Eve" and an incomplete essay entitled "Floyd and Margery Dell Throw a Party!". Other Papers include Isaac Levine's printed poem "The Queen of Elfland's Daughter (A Moon Fantasy)" inscribed to Susan and Llewellyn.

Letters to Augustus Frederick, mainly concerning the Duke's library and his literary interests; many originally accompanied presentation copies of works by the authors. Also letters requesting financial patronage, personal favors, or the Duke's participation in learned societies.
