Volume, in multiple hands, of seven booklets primarily on such topics as law, Parliament, government, and public finances. Parliamentary items include speeches by Thomas Wentworth, earl of Strafford, and Francis Seymour, Baron Trowbridge, complaining about forced loans, billeting of soldiers, and other grievances; a copy of the Spanish ambassador's complaints against George Villiers, Duke of Buckingham, as well as his own excuses for the conduct of the Spanish during marriage negotiations between Charles I and the Infanta Maria; a Parliamentary grievance against Buckingham; and journal notes for the House of Lords in 1621.

The Monroe Wheeler Papers consist of correspondence, manuscripts,personal and financial papers, photographs, graphic items, clippings, and objects which document Wheeler's life and work, principally at the Museum of Modern Art.
Series I, Correspondence, contains letters found in Monroe Wheeler's archive following the processing of the Glenway Wescott Papers (YCAL MSS 134), which holds the majority of letters to and from Wheeler. Series II. Writings, gathers together material from different periods of Wheeler's life, principally having to do with his careers. Personal Papers consists of 12 subseries containing material documenting various activities. Financial Papers contains three subseries. Photographs contains items which were not integrated into the main collection of images cataloged in the Glenway Wescott Papers (YCAL MSS 134). Series VI gathers together various Graphic Items. Clippings covers a wide range of subjects, with a focus on art, people, and travel. Series VIII, Health and Estate Materials, documents Wheeler's health, mainly in the 1980s. Series IX, Museum of Modern Art Records, contains thirteen subseries of material about Wheeler's career at MOMA. Objects contains several pieces of realia.

The collection consists of writings, notebooks and sketchbooks, correspondence, personal files, theater files, and audio material, and documents Hare's work as a playwright, producer, and director, and his work in other literary genres.

The Morris Tyler Family Collection of John James Audubon consists of correspondence of John James Audubon and members of his family, third party correspondence that relates to Audubon and his work, manuscripts by Audubon and others, and a small amount of family papers. Also included are research files about Audubon compiled by the Morris Tyler family, descendants of Audubon, and a nineteenth century autograph collection presumably amassed by a family member.
The John James Audubon component of the collection includes correspondence among family members; letters by and to others including many naturalists and ornithologists; and third party correspondence that relates to Audubon including numerous letters of introduction written on his behalf. The bulk of the correspondence dates from the late 1820s through the 1840s when Audubon was producing and promoting Birds of America and working on The Viviparous Quadrupeds of North America. Much of the correspondence concerns these ventures. There is extensive manuscript material for The Viviparous Quadrupeds of North America in the collection and lesser amounts for Ornithological Biography, as well as several manuscripts by family members and others that relate to Audubon and his work. Family papers include legal and financial materials, maps and floor plans, and printed items.
The autograph collection includes letters and documents signed by U. S. Presidents, military officials, cabinet officers, governors, authors, college presidents, and other prominent nineteenth century figures. Included in the autograph collection are groups of letters to several nineteenth century booksellers and publishers.

A collection of 58 journals recording 72 years of Moses Little's life. He spent 1844-1848 aboard the whaler Arnolda, commanded by Captain D. U. Coffin out of New Bedford, Massachusetts. In 1849, Little joined the Sagamore Mining and Trading Company of Lynn, Massachusetts, and traveled to California, returning in 1851. Making a second trip to California in 1852 via the Isthmus to Panama City, he sailed on the Tennessee. He staked a claim in Sandy Gulch, Calaveras County, and returned to New York in 1853. Except for his trips to Chicago in 1869 visiting the stockyards and 1893 for the World's Fair, the remaining journals concern Little's life in Hill, New Hampshire, where he ran a general store and became interested in local politics.

9 bound volumes of music manuscripts mainly by Italian composers; letters written by Lady Hamilton, Horatio Nelson, and Sarah Nelson; 10 reproductions of paintings and engravings of Lady Hamilton; 9 bound volumes of printed music; and Lady Hamilton's music cabinet.

The collection consists of miscellaneous letters by Mrs. Humphry Ward and writings, including holographs of The Marriage of William Ashe and A Writer's Recollections.
