Lawrence Morico was born 2 April 1936 and completed his undergraduate education at the University of Connecticut in 1958.

Willie Lee Atkyns, Jr. was born 13 September 1913 in Washington, D.C. Atkyns is a painter, teacher and printmaker.

In 1906, Lena H. Hurlburt (Class of 1908) became the first woman on the student newspaper editorial board (Class notes editor). The collection contains 3 small photograph albums documenting campus life and activities and one volume documenting her work as a teacher (1909-1910).

The collection includes notes, early drafts, both edited and unedited manuscripts, press proofs, galleys, page layouts, dummies, art work (sketches, scratchboard, acrylic, etc.), and correspondence with his editors and publishing companies for over fifty titles.

The Leonard Weisgard Papers document the creative processes of this award-winning author and illustrator, with his book art, commercial and promotional illustration, correspondence, and an extensive reference material series. The collection was donated in 2009 by Weisgard's children, Abigail, Christina and Ethan, all of whom reside in Denmark.
