Poet, editor and translator, Cid Corman was born in 1924 in Boston, Massachusetts. Owner of the Origin Press, he was the editor and publisher of Origin magazine.

Founded by Carlton J. Bates (1848-1941) in 1907, the C.J. Bates Company manufactured manicure sets, crochet hooks, and knitting needles in Chester, Connecticut.

Family history and documentation collected by Clara smith Hutt of Coventry, Connecticut. Materials document the Balch, England, Finnegan, Freeman, Hutt, Loomis, Mosman, Oltrim, Pierce, Platt, Smith, Storrs and Upham families of Connecticut and Massachusetts, all of whom had connections to Mrs. Hutt. Topics include travel, marriage, local and regional events, military and legal events.

The collection contain correspondence publications, typescripts, photograph and negative associated with Clare Leighton, resident of Woodbury, CT. The correspondence is predominently to Leighton from Eleanor Farjeon and the typescripts, proofs and publications of Leighton's articles, "The American Dimension; Change & Diversity" and "Growing New Roots."

The collection consists of correspondence, manuscripts, papers, articles, reviews, notes, publications, background materials, photographs, photocopies, photostats, negatives, and order forms related to Clare Talbot's writings, as well as her business activities.

Clavin C. Fisher was born on 12 July 1912, in Arlington, NJ, the son of Charles V. and Pearl (Burroughs) Fisher. He attended Bucknell University (BS, 1934) and New York University (MBA, 1937). Fisher began writing stories for children after retiring from a career with Aetna Life & Casualty (1937-1975) in Hartford, CT.

The collection contains Knight's manuscripts materials, such as book dummies, book jacket dummies and illustrations.

The collection consists of a switchyard layout diagram, published materials, photographs, and a signalman's hand lamp belonging to New York, New Haven & Hartford Railroad signal superintendent Clinton C. Hurlbut, who worked for the railroad from 1912 to 1961.

The professional papers of Clyde Jones, faculty member in the School of Family Studies (Home Economics) at the University of Connecticut from 1961 to 1985.

The collection contains clippings, administrative records, correspondence, and notes pertaining to the investigation and proposed development of assisted living facility in Mansfield, Connecticut.
