The writings include holograph, typescript, and photocopied drafts; galleys; and printed drafts of poems and prose with annotations and corrections. Annotations and corrections are in both the authors' and Williams's hand. Writings on Williams and his writing comprise a portion of the series, though the bulk is writings on a variety of topics. A printed version of Ezra Pound's Gaudier-Brzeska: A Memoir, a typescript of Henry Miller's "Into the Night Life" from Black Spring, and drafts and notes of an interview with Florence Williams conducted by Edith Heal Berrien entitled "Memory is a Sort of Renewal by Florence E. Williams," are found in the series. Other notable writers are represented here, including many who admired Williams and sent their manuscripts for his criticism and approval.
