This folder contains the poster for the world premiere of this landmark play-turned-movie, based on 1943's Los Angeles Zoot Suit Riots. The folder also contains 8 production photos and a portrait of Edward James Olmos. The playwright, Luis Valdez, adapted the script for film, and played El Pachuco.

Zoot Suit, press kit and poster, 1981 Box 84

Contains a press kit and 25"x38" folder poster for the film from writer/director Luiz Valdez. The film concerns racial tensions against the Latino population in Los Angeles during World War II. It is an early, if not the first, film to consider Chicano and Latino identity in Southern California's history from a Latino perspective.
