Series I, Correspondence, is organized into eight subseries: Personal Correspondence, Third Party Correspondence, Permissions, Publishers Inquiries, Orders, Other Requests and Invitations, Fan Mail, and Related Material. Orders and Fan Mail are arranged chronologically; the other subseries are arranged alphabetically. Letters from correspondents not listed individually may be found in "letter" general files.
