Manuscript, in French, containing copies of two Congressional resolutions, and also a resolution of the General Assembly of the State of Pennsylvania. 4 pages, folio., 1781 May-1781 June Box 5, Folder 293

The first Congressional resolution requests the States to pass laws for the arrest of deserters from the French army; the second requests the Governors of Virginia and Maryland to establish a lookout and a chain of posts so that news of the arrival of the French fleet could be brought to Congress as quickly as possible. Dated May 27, June 5, and June 1, 1780, respectively.
