This addition is composed of correspondence and writings from the office of Lafayette B. Mendel in the Department of Physiological Chemistry. The chairman of the department, Dr. C. N. H. Long, ordered the disposal of Mendel's files. Dr. Benjamin Katzin, then a graduate student, was allowed to look through the files and saved these few folders of material as a representative sample.
