The October 1964 Acquisition consists of writings and subject files. Writings include autograph manuscript and typescript drafts, and notes. Subject files relate to writing projects (or planned projects) and include notes, clippings, photographs and printed material.

Series III consists of correspondence, reports and questionaires related to the International PEN conference in Bled, Yugoslavia in 1965, and financial and personal papers spanning 1937 to 1968.
