This series includes articles, speeches, and other writings and public statements by George Darling. An individual file may contain notes, drafts, and a printed copy of the work. The earliest item in the series is a work of fiction composed by Darling as a student, while the latest is a tribute to Darling's mentor Henry Vaughan.

The arrangement of files in this series reflects George Darling's changing role in service to Yale University. The files are divided into two sub-series; the first, the Administrative files, include records Darling kept as director of medical affairs from 1946-1952. The second sub-series, Teaching files, documents courses Darling offered from 1953-1957.
