Some magazines appear to be self published while others are commercially published.

This accession contains several volumes of Kurt Erichsen's comic Murphy's Manor. The comic follows five housemates, four gay men and a lesbian woman, who live in an unnamed city in Ohio. Topics include dating, politics, sex, and gay bar culture. Publication dates range from 1981 to 1993.

    This accession comprises assorted lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) comics, including ones that are professionally published and self-published. The comics explore such topics as coming out, bullying, romantic and sexual relationships, experiences with transitioning and expressing gender identity, stereotypes of LGBTQ people, politics, and treatment by family and friends that are not LGBTQ identified. A significant portion of these comics are science fiction and fantasy stories. Some comics that are not explicitly related to LGBTQ topics are also included in this accession, possibly because of the LGBTQ identity of their creators. Publication dates range from 1985 to 2014, with the bulk from 2000 to 2014.
