This series contains letters of Day family members, with the bulk of correspondence relating to Thomas Day. The letters are largely personal in nature, relating to family concerns, although Thomas Day's activities as secretary of state in Connecticut are noted. Thomas Day's six daughters exchanged letters from the 1830s to the 1860s. His son, Thomas Mills Day, wrote often from Europe and the Middle East during 1850-1851.
