Abstract: Alejandro Lopez came to the states in search of factory work in 1950. Moving first to Naugatuck, and later to Waterbury, he worked as a laborer in a foundry until 1953 when he started at Scovill Manufacturing. He discusses Puerto Rican Culture and their experiences in the local community.

Abstract: Anthony Gerace worked at Chase Brass and Copper from 1946-1956 when he was laid off. In 1975 he became a union representative for the UAW. A strong influence in his early years was Father Joseph Donnelly.
