The Stephen Sandy Papers consist of correspondence, subject files, writings, personal papers, printed material, photographs, and audiovisual material created and accumulated by American poet Stephen Sandy. The papers document the creation, publication, and reception of Sandy's work from his earliest pamphlet, Mary Baldwin (1962), to more recent work, shedding light on Sandy's poetic sensibility and his personal and professional relationships with other poets. Significant quantities of material relate to his work at Bennington College.

The collection consists of correspondence, writings, including manuscripts and proofs, journals, notebooks, day books, research files, photographs, printed materials, awards, artwork, and audiovisual materials related to the life and work of Terry Tempest Williams.

The Theatre Guild Archive consists of a variety of materials that document the history of the Theatre Guild from its earliest productions in 1919 through theatre and film projects in the 1980s and 1990s. Material includes correspondence and subject files relating to individuals, organizations, productions, and projects with which the company was involved; administrative and financial records; scripts and records of stage, radio, television, and film projects; scrapbooks, press books and clippings; costume, lighting and scenic designs and other art work; photographs of productions, events, and individuals; manuscript and printed music and related materials which document the creation, rehearsal, and performance of music composed and/or arranged for theatrical productions conceived of and produced by the Theatre Guild; production programs and publicity material from Theatre Guild and non-Theatre Guild productions; books, serials and other printed material published by the Theatre Guild as well as other publications acquired by Theatre Guild staff ; posters and lobby cards; audiovisual materials; and records of projects with which the Theatre Guild and its administrators were affiliated including the Westport Country Playhouse, the Bureau of New Plays, the American Shakespeare Festival Theatre and Academy, the Theatre Guild American Repertory Company, and Theatre at Sea.

The collection consists chiefly of correspondence with family, friends, and literary colleagues; and writings, accompanied by related material. There are smaller amounts of personal papers, printed material, photographs, memorabilia, and audio recordings. The material documents Wilder's life and work, in particular his career as a successful novelist and playwright.
Series I, Correspondence, consists of four subseries: Family Correspondence; General Correspondence; First Name Only and Unidentified Correspondence; and Third Party Correspondence. Wilder's correspondence with family members, notably with his sister Isabel, is extensive and contains much information on both his personal and professional activities.
General Correspondence consists mainly of letters received by Wilder and particularly documents his literary activities and public reception after the success of Our Town in 1938. Correspondents include Garson Kanin, Michael Myerberg, Vivien Leigh, Louise Talma, Max Beerbohm, Vincent Sheean, Gertrude Stein, Glenway Wescott, and Herberth Herlitschka.
Series II, Writings, contains excellent documentation of Wilder's works, including holograph and typescript drafts of all of his major writings; extensive materials relating to the production and adaptation histories of Our Town and The Skin of Our Teeth; and review and publicity files for both plays and novels. The series also holds drafts of many essays and lectures by Wilder, as well as copies of writings by others, most but not all Wilder-related.
Series III, Personal Papers, includes journals, autobiographical notes and notebooks kept by Wilder; numerous awards and honors bestowed on him; papers relating to his education and career as a university lecturer; research notes on Finnegans Wake; his military service papers; and some financial and travel records. Series IV, Printed Material, consists of newspaper clippings, pamphlets, and an extensive run of theater programs for plays attended by Wilder and his sister Isabel.
Series V, Photographs, primarily contains portraits of Wilder taken throughout his life, including some of his stage appearances and a variety of publicity shots. There are also photographs of family and friends and production photographs for several plays.
Series VI, Memorabilia and Other Papers, contains artwork, other realia, and musical scores by Louise Talma and others. Series VII, Audio Tapes and Other Recordings, consists of a variety of sound recordings received with the Wilder Papers, including interviews and readings. Series VIII, Thornton Wilder Papers Addition, contains a small amount of family correspondence received after the collection had been processed.

The Tomas Venclova Papers document the life and work of Lithuanian poet, scholar and professor Tomas Venclova. Correspondence documents Venclova's relationships with Lithuanian and Soviet literary figures and political dissidents, including letters from Joseph Brodsky and Czesław Miłosz. Venclova's personal life and family relationships are also documented in the correspondence. Venclova's work as a poet, scholar, and translator is documented in drafts of writings that include holograph drafts of poetry. His work as a human rights activist is documented in the subject files, which include files on Adam Michnik and Liudmila Alekseeva. Photographs include personal and family photographs as well as photographs of conferences, readings and other professional travel. Audiovisual material includes recordings of poetry readings and lectures. Printed material includes reviews of Venclova's works and articles about Lithuanian politics and culture in the 1990s. Electronic files consist chiefly of e-mail. Other papers include personal documents, awards and honorary degrees.

This collection contains writings, photographs, correspondence, journals and other material created by writer, poet, and vicar, Tom Carey. Correspondence and journals contain content related to writers and artists associated with the first and second generations of the New York School, including James Schuyler, Eileen Myles, and John Ashbery.

The papers document the life and work of Ved Mehta and include writings, correspondence, family archival material, personal papers, academic records, financial records, research and subject files, printed material, photographs, and electronic files. Writings includes drafts of (and for some, extensive research files for) all of Mehta's major works from 1957 to 2004. Drafts of writings and Mehta's outgoing correspondence are typewritten. Subject files and correspondence relate not only to Mehta's life and work, but also to his family, to acquaintances such as Ethel Clyde, and to organizations such as the Arkansas School for the Blind, Pomona College, and Oxford University.

The Vincent McHugh Papers document the professional and personal life of poet, novelist, and editor Vincent McHugh. The papers consist of personal and professional correspondence, drafts of writings, professional papers, journals, notebooks, personal papers, photographs, sound recordings, drawings, and a scrapbook, spanning the years 1933 to 1983.

The Vine Deloria papers consist of writings, correspondence, subject files, legal files, teaching files, organizational records, awards and tributes, photographs, audiovisual materials, and electronic media documenting the life and work of Vine Deloria. Writings, correspondence, and subject files form the bulk of the collection and document his involvement in issues relating to Native Americans. Organizational correspondence and organizational records document the many groups with which Deloria was affiliated.
