Ferrotype image of Peter Reynolds, AKA "Slim" posed in a derby hat. Reynolds, according to Herbert Asbury's "Gangs of New York", was the co-owner of "The Dump", an Irish Bar on the Bowery of New York City. The picture was owned by Reynolds' grandson, Harold Reynolds, until his death in 2018 in Scarsdale, NY.
