Biographical / Historical
The regiment was organized in August of 1862 and was active at the battle of Antietam in September of that year. The regiment participated in the following battles: Fredericksburg, VA (Dec 1862), Edenton Road, VA (April 1863), Providence Church Road, VA (May 1863) and Plymouth, NC (Apr 1864).
Collection is comprised of 3 booklets likely produced to coincide with a regimental reunion in 1889.
Contains a short regimental history written by Lt. B.F. Blakeslee.
