General note
This sub-series contains personal handwritten letters by Warner to his mother and father during WW II. It also includes several V Mail letters as well as a few original V Mail letters that were not microfilmed and reduced to the 4 x 5 inch format. Interspersed among the letters are copies of cartoons by Bill Mauldin and a few newspaper clippings. These letters also contain examples of Army censorship, and those letters requesting items from home are stamped by the Danbury Post Office as having been requested by Warner and shipped by his parents.
