General note

Clippings from The Brookfield Journal. Excerpts from the Diary of Barzillai Buckley Kellogg that describes life in agricultural Brookfield. The newspaper also published a journal kept by Barzillai while on his honeymoon six years later in 1845. Both journals were printed through the courtesy of Mrs. Charles Ryder, granddaughter of Barzillai Buckley Kellogg.
