General
The recording describes various frog species found in the southern U.S., including bullfrogs (Rana catesbeiana) along the Gulf Coast and in ponds from Canada to Mexico. Background sounds include crickets and tree frogs, recorded in Georgia. The Barking Treefrog (Dryophytes gratiosus) produces a high-pitched trill, either as an isolated call or from several frogs together. The southern toad's call remains distinct but is not detailed here.
